Alex Jones promptly shut down by One Show guest after x-rated query: ‘Not for television’

Friday’s edition of The One Show saw Alex Jones for the very first time by Strictly Come Dancing winner and McFly band member Harry Judd on the famous green sofas. Alex and her new co-host had plenty to get through on the BBC show, from a chat with John Bishop and Roger Daltrey to speaking with Sting and jazz singer Melody Gardot. However, one of Alex’s questions took a rather awkward turn as she was promptly shut down by Melody.

With a new single hitting the airwaves very soon, Sting and Melody were keen to discuss with Alex and Harry how their paths first crossed.

Discussing the pair’s new song and their first meeting, The One Show’s Alex said: “Well, the song is amazing, we listened to it once and it was in our heads, wasn’t it?”

Co-host Harry concurred: “It’s a real tune, absolutely. And Sting, tell us how did you guys meet? What was it that made you want to collaborate?”

The former Police singer divulged: “Well, she’s a fantastic singer with a huge reputation, especially in the jazz world.”
