Alex Jones ‘replaced’ by Kym Marsh on The One Show after exit announced ‘Been a privilege’

She turned to the viewers and said: “And thanks for being the reason as well as my family for getting me through this really weird time honestly it’s been a real honour to be here doing this job.

“It’s only two weeks and I will see you on the 20th and thank you to you Al as always.”

Amol Rajan opened the show tonight announcing once again Alex Jones was taking a much-needed break with Kym taking her spot until she is back. 

The host won’t be away for long though, in just a couple of week’s time, Alex will be back in the driving seat. 

The audience was split down the middle tonight, with those who were thrilled to see Kym, and those who thought no one could replace Alex. 

One viewer said: “Kym Marsh on the one show.. mateeeee, now I remember why I loved hear’say so much.. she’s so gorg.”

Another said: “Kym Marsh has all growed up, how dare she!! #theoneshow.”

A third added: “Can Kym host every night, please. It’s now watchable.”

However, one viewer said: “Nope, we will keep Alex Jones please #BBC #TheOneShow.”

And another said: “I don’t think this is for me until Queen Alex is back – sorry #OneShow.”

The One Show airs on BBC One daily at 7pm.
