Avengers 4: Russo Brothers ‘heckled over trailer release date’ at Game Awards? WATCH

Joe and Anthony Russo directed Avengers: Infinity War, and are also in charge of the as-yet-untitled Avengers 4 – the trailer for which has dominated movie discussion over the last month. With its drop alleged to be today, many were wondering if their planned appearance at last night’s Game Awards would be for some kind of announcement or teaser – but this did not happen. Instead they just presented an award without incident.

However, fans on Reddit are dissecting one particular moment, where it seems a person in the crowd can be heard shouting: “Give us the trailer!”

Ultimately it’s hard to make out if that is what’s being shouted, but you can take a listen for yourself in the video above.

Either way, Marvel fans have been expressing anger online that the Russos did nothing Avengers-related during their appearance – apart from a quick Thanos-related joke about the nominee shortlist going from ten to five.

“Lights went out after the @Russo_Brothers left the stage and I had a feeling that the Avengers 4 trailer was gonna drop. It didn’t. Then i got sad. #TheGameAwards,” said one person.

“so there’s no news on the Avengers game and you just had the Russo brothers there because….reasons, I guess #TheGameAwards,” complained someone else.

A third person tweeted: “Troll of the night? The Russo brothers come out to only had out an award? #TheGameAwards.”

“Honestly. What was the point of having @Russo_Brothers at #TheGameAwards ? I mean, it was cool and all, but I NEED that Avengers 4 trailer,” despaired another tweeter.

Nonetheless, all signs seem to point to the trailer arriving today, December 7 – although it’s important to note that this has not been confirmed by Marvel.

Sources seem to think it will arrive at 9am EST, which is 2pm in the UK.

A trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home is expected over the weekend as well – and with Captain Marvel having dropped its full trailer earlier in the week, it’s certainly shaping up to be a huge week for the MCU.

Avengers: Infinity War was one of the biggest movies of all time, so – regardless of when its sequel’s trailer arrives – it seems highly doubtful that Marvel need to worry about box office performance.

Avengers 4 is out on April 26 in the UK.
