BT customers can access Sky TV channels for £5 a month

If you’re struggling to find new shows and movies to watch during lockdown, BT has a blockbuster deal for its existing BT TV and BT broadband customers. BT is offering access to a vast array of Sky TV channels, including Sky Atlantic, Sky Cinema, Sky Sports, and Sky Comedy. These are provided courtesy of Sky’s NOW TV streaming side project.

If you’d like to access the same selection of channels from NOW TV without BT, you’d need to cough up at least £54.97 a month. That’s because the channels are spread across three separate bundles – the NOW TV Entertainment Pass (£8.99 a month), Sky Cinema Pass (£11.99 a month), and Sky Sports Pass (£33.99 a month).

Of course, buying all of these bundles will unlock more channels than you get from BT’s offer. However, with a £49.97 price difference, that’s not something you should lose sleep over.

Just like NOW TV, BT offers flexible viewing options – so you can pick and mix between the types of content available.

So, BT customers who pick the half-price Entertainment deal today to binge-watch shows on Sky Atlantic will be able to switch to a sports package when the football is back on later this year. “It’s that easy,” BT says.

BT TV doesn’t only offer access to the Sky channels. You’ll also be able to binge-watch the latest shows and films on Netflix and Prime Video. And of course, BT lets customers add and remove these from their package every month.

The set-top box itself lets you pause, rewind and record live television – with storage space for up to 300 hours.

After the six month promotion ends, the Sky channels will revert to £10 a month.
