Call of Duty Black Ops 4 UPDATE: Time arrives for PS4 pandemic release, Xbox patch notes

This week will see another big Call of Duty Black Ops 4 update released on PS4 and Xbox One.

This will expand on the current Operation Apocalypse Z Rising content, which originally launched in July.

This expansion made Zombies Mode its main focus, adding new experiences across multiplayer and Blackout Maps.

And we already know much about the new Call of Duty Black Ops 4 content being released this week.

Treyarch has confirmed that a big new update will be landing tomorrow, August 6, adding Pandemic Mode.

This was first teased in July and will make up a large component of the new content being released.

“Coming later in the Operation, battle for survival in Pandemic,” an earlier message from Treyarch teases.

“This Operation’s upcoming limited-time mode is planned to feature a large-scale fight to survive enemies and zombies.

“Like Multiplayer’s Infected, when players are eliminated, they return as zombies looking to add more numbers to their horde. Infected players can respawn all the way up until the final Collapse, where the remaining squads must bunker down and outlast the Pandemic. The last squad of survivors will win.”

The good news is that this new Pandemic Mode will be going live on PS4 alongside a range of other changes being made by Treyarch.

The bad news is that Xbox One gamers will have to wait an extra week before they get their own turn. And while we know that a new update is being released on August 6, we don’t know exactly when it will be going live.

It seems a good bet that things will start rolling at around 6pm in the UK, or 10am PST if you live in the United States.

This is the normal time in which Treyarch launches their new content but isn’t something they have announced yet. We do have some early patch notes that provide a good overview of what’s coming.

This includes details on the new Pandemic Mode, as well as details regarding the launch of Infected: Final Stand.

In a post shared by Treyarch, it has also been confirmed that a new vehicle is being launched in Blackout Mode this week, along with additional weapon options.

Early patch notes for this week’s Call of Duty Black Ops 4 update can be found below:
