This week’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare update is expected to drop in the coming days for both MW and COD Warzone on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Earlier patches have made eye-catching changes to the game, and it will be interesting to see if the next launch tweaks them. The new Armor Box appears to be working well and looks set to stay in place as an item you can pick up from loot boxes and buy.
The other changes may see some tweaks though, with the Gulag introducing new weaponry that has changed the dynamics significantly.
It will be interesting to see if some of the new arsenal is removed, or if developers Infinity Ward decides to keep them.
New Playlist changes could also be on the cards, this week, with Trios Classic currently in the mix.
It’s unclear if this will remain an option, or if Activision has plans to change it out with something new.
A number of other Playlists for Warzone have also leaked, including one that allows you to start with your own loadout, another that features the gas always moving, and another that makes the gas always move faster than a player.
Another that could replace Classic Trios is one that allows dead players to duke it out in the Gulag until the final three circles, with no buybacks allowed.
Fans have also been waiting on Duos to drop in Warzone, having been told it still needed some work.
There’s a chance we could hear more about this before the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare Season 4.
But it will ultimately depend on if the mode is ready to be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Players have also been seeing Minguns dropping on the ground in Warzone, which could be a big hint at what could replace it.
A special mode launch including the Minigun could be on the cards, with data miners confirming that they have found references to a Juggernaut mode in the past.
Other rumoured modes include 200-player games being made available in the future on the Verdansk map.
However, while this is all pretty exciting for COD Warzone gamers, it should be noted that Activision has yet to share its plans for this week.
A set release date has not been confirmed for the next Call of Duty Modern Warfare update, but there is a chance it could arrive as early as Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
Tuesdays are the usual day for big patches to be released but Activision has chosen to launch it much later than usual.
The larger the update, the later Activision likes to release it, allowing servers to avoid widespread disruption.
This means that the next Call of Duty Modern Warfare update could be available to download at 10am PT, or 11pm PT.
More news regarding the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare update is expected to be shared in the coming days.
