Call of Duty Modern Warfare Warzone update: Is Warzone coming to GeForce Now?
The latest Call of Duty Modern Warfare update has proven hugely successful, but now fans want to know if COD Warzone will be coming to GeForce NOW? GeForce Now is Nvidia’s newly launched game streaming service, which has already attracted millions of users. Choosing from both the Free and Premium tiers, GeForce Now gamers can play titles from their existing digital libraries, such as Steam and Epic Games Store. But not all developers and publishers are allowing their games to be used via GeForce Now, and that currently includes some big names.
Companies like Bethesda, Activision Blizzard and 2K Games have removed titles from GeForce Now in recent weeks.
That hasn’t stopped players wanting to sign up for the Premium Tier though, with Nvidia confirming earlier this week that they are running out of codes.
A post from the company reveals: “As you can imagine, we’re experiencing a substantial increase in the number of GeForce Now players and their amount of playtime.
“As a result, our Founders memberships are currently sold out in Europe and we anticipate North America won’t be far behind.”
This situation may well have changed now but it shows just how popular GeForce Now is becoming in 2020.
And now fans want to know when one of the biggest new titles released this year will be coming to the service.
Call of Duty Warzone is available to play on a number of leading platforms, including PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Activision support was removed from GeForce Now earlier in 2020, with Nvidia suggesting things could change in the future.
Nvidia told fans at the time: “As we take GeForce NOW to the next step in its evolution, we’ve worked with publishers to onboard a robust catalog of your PC games.
“This means continually adding new games, and on occasion, having to remove games – similar to other digital service providers.
“Per their request, please be advised Activision Blizzard games will be removed from the service. While unfortunate, we hope to work together with Activision Blizzard to reenable these games and more in the future.
“In addition to the hundreds of games currently supported, we have over 1,500 games that developers have asked to be on-boarded to the service. Look for weekly updates as to new games we are adding.”
As Call of Duty Warzone is a F2P title, it would make sense to make it available on GeForce Now.
Having as many gamers interacting with your title as possible is one of the main aims for any free game.
So there is still a good chance of a big Warzone update in the future.
