Call of Duty Warzone Season 4 leaks: COD Modern Warfare update before release date

Gamers can expect plenty of new content during Call of Duty Warzone Season 4, with new leaks surfacing in May. Reports have already suggested that Activision and developers Infinity Ward are planning a new in-game event. Some have linked this to the Wolf howls heard around the Prison, while other reports have suggested that a new map is being planned.

It is unclear if either of these events will happen during Season 4, but it seems more certain that new weapons and cosmetic will be part of it.

And the latest rumour suggests that Activision will launch the Galil and the Vector SMG during Season 4.

Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare may also see the HK G28 arrive, but not straight away during Season 4.

Other weapons like the APC9 and the XM109 have also been spotted in the game files but are not guaranteed for Season 4.

As mentioned above, data miners have found evidence of a new event happening in the coming weeks.

This would involve the current map being destroyed in multiple explosions and being replaced by something new.

This could involve Verdansk being nuked a lot, followed by the Battle Royale action being moved to a location in Urzikstan.

This would mean the old map disappearing and new locations being released during June 2020, or sometime later in the year.

However, until Activision share more about its plans for June and beyond, it will be hard to know exactly what is coming next.

Other changes coming with Season 4 include the release of a new Battle Pass, along with expected weapons, some of which will be unlockable through Challenges.

Infinity Ward may also choose to tweak how this process works as they did with Modern Warfare Season 3.

“Season Three remixed some classic Trials from previous seasons to create the most interesting, and potentially most difficult, collection of challenges yet for those who want to trade in their Trial tickets for a shot at a boatload of XP,” a message from Activision reads.

“One Trial ticket will allow you three tries at the best time in each Trial, with a three-star ranking giving you 10,000 XP.

“Don’t forget that a three-star ranking could reward a whopping 22,000 XP with both the 10% Battle Pass XP and Double XP activated. If you know your way around these Trials, you can earn that XP in only a few minutes of your time.”

More news regarding Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare Season 4 is expected in the coming weeks.

The final release date is expected to fall during early June 2020 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
