She warned it can be expensive to keep a car running on the road with extra costs adding up in a time of financial uncertainty for many.
“It can be expensive to get on the road and there are a lot of costs to consider,” Ms Egan said.
“From the price of fuel, to car insurance and making sure your vehicle is serviced and has valid road tax – it all adds up.
“So, to help people who may be looking at buying a new car to get around, we’ve calculated the ten cars which are, on average, the cheapest to insure based on Admiral data from the first quarter of this year.
