Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has hinted Fikayo Tomori won’t be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer. The England international has been linked with another loan move away from west London this summer.
According to reports, Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Everton are interested in acquiring the 22-year-old’s services.
Ligue 1 side Rennes are also said to hold an interest in taking Tomori on loan this campaign.
Lampard, however, seemingly doesn’t have any intention of letting the centre-back leave the club in this transfer window.
Speaking after Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool, in which Tomori came on at half-time, Lampard said: ‘Tomori did really well and he hasn’t played for a while.
“Where does Tomori play?” the Italian asked when Tomori was mentioned. “In Chelsea, so don’t ask me this!”
Ancelotti, did, however admit Everton are on the lookout for a new centre-back due to a lack of strength in depth.
He said: “We are looking for a centre-back and we are looking in the market. I think we can have one because now we are only with Yerry Mina and Michael Keane. But we are looking for another one.”
Chelsea will be back in action on Wednesday night, welcoming Championship side Barnsley to Stamford Bridge for their Carabao Cup third-round tie.
