But, just because you get hiccups, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have COVID-19.

Most people get hiccups on occasion, and they should only usually last a few minutes.

There’s no specific reason why some people get hiccups, but they could be triggered by stress, eating or drinking.

You should, however, speak to your doctor if your hiccups last longer than 48 hours, or if they come back very often.
