Those who have been unable to get a test, are instead invited to use drive-through centres.
Seven million people across Britain have been invited to use these centres.
Eligible key workers, including teachers, bankers and supermarket workers, will need to locate their nearest drive-through centre if they need a test.
On Thursday, Mr Hancock said: “From today employers of essential workers will be able to go on gov.uk to get a test for any of their workers.
“From tomorrow any essential workers who need a test will be able to book an appointment themselves.
“This also applies to people in essential workers’ households.
“Those included will be based on the list for schools and education”.
The whole process will be free and no one will have to pay out for the tests.”
