Venus is in retrograde until June 25, and this can wreak havoc on relationships according to astrologers. Venus retrograde only happens once every 18 months, and occurs when it seems as though from Earth – planets are moving backwards.
When Earth and Venus reach the same side of the Sun in their orbits, it can appear as though Venus moves through the sky in one direction.
Then, as Venus overtakes Earth in its inner orbit, it can appear to change direction and is in retrograde – so this appearance is an optical illusion.
Astrologer Alice Bell told Vogue that Venus retrograde can have a far-reaching impact on our relationships.
She explained: “When Venus appears to be moving backwards in its orbit, all of the qualities Venus embodies slow down and get directed inwards.
Ms Bell advised: “Don’t rush back into a past relationship.
“Instead, use this period as a chance to gain closure and move on.”
Also impacting our horoscope – the Sun is in Gemini – which is the Mutable sign of curiosity, adaptability and affection.
Geminis are often said to be very adaptable and have no problem in learning quickly.
However, there are downsides to this cosmic influence as Geminis can at times come across as shy or indecisive.
The Sun will remain in Gemini until May 20.
Astrologer Gregory Scott said for Monday, June 8, with the Moon in Capricorn you should feel focus on work, and think about goals.
Mr Scott said: “It sits on top of Pluto, the planet of transformation, death, rebirth, – the phoenix rising from the ashes – in Capricorn, so I work therefore I transform, I create.”
Mr Scott also said Jupiter is in Capricorn, and Jupiter is “the lucky planet” focusing on growth and power.
Mr Scott added: “Work on your hopes and dreams and focus on what you can actually do in a practical sense.
“So on Monday use that, use the clarity and focus you get via this sense of productiveness and channel it into your work.
“You’re supremely practical and will see everything in black and white.”
