Cousins suffered a torn achilles tendon last January while at the New Orleans Pelicans, and has been out ever since.
The center has been back in training since the new year, and has been itching to get back on court.
The Warriors are currently getting back to their best after a mid-season slump.
On Tuesday night, they demolished the Denver Nuggets 142-111 and in the process regained top spot in the Western Conference.
And as they prepare to welcome back Cousins, they showed no signs of slowing down as they broke an NBA record to score 51 points in the first quarter.
Ahead of his return to the court, ‘Boogie’ Cousins admitted that the Warriors were one of the most hated teams in the world.
Cousins spoke to CBS about playing alongside the likes of Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and Draymond Green.
“We’re the most hated team in sports,” he said.
“They hate Kevin, they hate me.
“They only guy they really like is Steph.
“They may hate him as well. They hate Draymond.
“I mean, it is what it is. I can’t worry about that.
“I’m back and I’m not looking back.
“Looking forward, I’m leaving it out on the floor every night, and I plan on coming back for that top spot.”
The Warriors take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night, ahead of Cousins’ return against the LA Clippers on Friday.
