Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris Weekly Challenges update ahead of rewards and map reveal

Bungie has confirmed that they have worked out the Weekly Challenges bug and that it shouldn’t affect the launch of Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris this week. The dev team are expected to release the 3v3 Crucible playlist at around 5pm BST on April 10, 2020. With it will come the usual scramble to reach Saint-14, who will be located in the Tower Hangar. The Osiris reset offers a refreshed inventory of Trials Passages, Bounties, and the option to turn in Trials Tokens.

And like past weeks, Guardians will have a new map and a fresh set of rewards to check out, if they meet the requirements of the 960 Power rating needed to buy Passages.

As ever, Trials fans will earn exclusive rewards by defeating other teams of three, while hoping to gain entry to the Lighthouse.

This mode will be available until Tuesday, April 14 and will end before the weekly reset has been completed.

This week will also come with the added promise of the annoying Weekly Challenges bug being removed.

Problems with Weekly Challenges not resetting caused some Guardians to miss out, a problem that Bungie believe has been removed.

Here’s the latest from the dev team, who confirmed in a new blog post: “Last week, we released Destiny 2 Hotfix

“As part of the hotfix, we resolved an issue where Trials of Osiris Weekly Challenges were not being reset properly.

“We believed the issue would be resolved later that week when Trials of Osiris went live, but the issue persisted, causing players who didn’t have their Weekly Challenge to not receive any rewards on their third, fifth, or seventh win.

“Starting this Friday, April 10, all players are expected to have their Weekly Challenge available to them when Trials of Osiris becomes active.”

Players with 3, 5, or 7 wins on their Trials Passage will be granted a Weekly Challenge Trials Reward based on those wins which can all unlock on a single Passage.

This has been glitched for some gamers of late but it looks like it won’t be an issue this weekend.

Once three losses appear on a Passage, wins will no longer count until the Passage is reset or a new one is purchased.

It should also be noted that going Flawless on a Trials Passage will grant players access to The Lighthouse, with players getting access to Pinnacle Gear from the Flawless Chest.

Last week, the Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris map was confirmed as Cauldron on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

And gamers will have to wait until later today to find out what the new Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris map is going to be.

Trials of Osiris is available to play on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia, with the Power-enabled 3v3 Crucible playlist expected to stick around past June 2020.
