Donald Trump accuses hospitalised OAP protestor of Antifa ‘set-up’ – bizarre Twitter rant

Martin Gugino approached police in the US city shortly after the local curfew came into effect due to the protests over George Floyd’s death. After stumbling backwards and falling to the floor, his head begins to bleed. In a tweet today, Mr Trump has hinted the man could well be part of the anti-fascist movement.

He said: “Buffalo protester shoved by Police could be an ANTIFA provocateur.

“75 year old Martin Gugino was pushed away after appearing to scan police communications in order to blackout the equipment.

“I watched, he fell harder than was pushed.

“Was aiming scanner. Could be a set up?”

The 75-year-old was hospitalised due to his injuries on Friday.

He is now in a serious but stable condition.

Due to the video, which went viral, a Go Fund Me page was set up to pay for his medical and legal fees.

The two police officers involved were released without bail but have been charged.
