Borussia Dortmund chief Sebastian Kehl has confirmed that Jadon Sancho will be staying at the club and that decision is final. The winger looked destined to join Manchester United and still could before the October transfer deadline.
However, Dortmund have again made their stance clear in that United will have to pay their full £108million valuation if they are to sign the 20-year-old.
Earlier this week, sporting director Michael Zorc confirmed that Sancho will be staying at the club for at least another season.
“We plan on having Jadon Sancho in our team this season, the decision is final. I think that answers all our questions,” Zorc said on Monday.
“Last summer, we adjusted Jadon’s salary to match the development of his performances. So in context, we had already extended his contract until 2023 back then.”
However, Sancho was on the plane and was all smiles following a weekend back home in London where he chilled with rappers Krept and Konan at a gathering.
Sancho was back in action on the field yesterday and started their first pre-season friendly alongside new boy Jude Bellingham and Erling Braut Haaland, as they beat Altach 6-0.
The winger appears to have taken on a senior role in the Dortmund set-up and has claimed he is more than happy to help guide the club’s next generation.
“I love playing with this lot. It’s a special bunch. We’ve got some special young players coming up,” said Sancho.

“I’m really happy to share the pitch with them and guide them.
“I joined when I was 17, some of the lads are the same age. I’ve been there and done that. I can guide them in what’s good and what isn’t. I can hopefully motivate them as well.”
Manchester United are said to have already agreed a five-year contract with Sancho but they still have to strike a deal with Dortmund.
Talks are currently at an impasse with the two parties still miles apart in terms of a structure for the deal.
