Elder Scrolls Online Greymoor release date and ESO server time news for PS4 and Xbox

The Elder Scrolls Online Greymoor expansion is already out on PC and Mac but will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One this week.

Greymoor unlocks Western Skyrim, making it possible to take on new quests and enjoy new features.

You can pick up the Greymoor main questline by navigating to your Collections UI, selecting Stories, and then Chapters.

This will provide access to the “The Gathering Storm,” quest and a boat out of Solitude. It should also be noted that the Greymoor Prologue is available for all ESO players to enjoy.

The ESO Greymoor expansion unlocks Western Skyrim and Blackreach to explore, as well as a new gothic main storyline featuring an ancient supernatural threat, Antiquities, new item sets, collectables, and Achievements.

The full description from Zenimax adds: “An ancient evil rises from beneath Western Skyrim, and monsters prey upon the local Nords, bringing ruin and horror to all they touch.

“Greymoor features a grim main storyline of a kingdom under siege from a supernatural threat, but it is also part of a larger adventure, called the Dark Heart of Skyrim, that began with the Harrowstorm DLC in February and continues throughout 2020.

“In The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor’s main storyline, you must investigate a rising darkness that plagues the Nords of Western Skyrim. Isolated and wary of strangers—even other Nords—the people of Western Skyrim face monsters emerging from its darkest reaches, as an army of vampires, werewolves, and witches attack from a hidden holdfast and conduct horrifying, life-draining rituals.”

Zenimax changed the official console release date for the Elder Scrolls Online Greymoor out of respect for George Floyd, and the services being held in his memory.

The new launch schedule for ESO Greymoor has been set for Wednesday, June 10, 2020, on PS4 and Xbox One.

A further release has also been planned for Google Stadia on June 16.

While no exact release time has been announced, Zenimax has stated that Elder Scrolls Online Greymoor server downtime will begin at 10pm EST on June 10.

For ESO gamers in the UK, this will mean maintenance starting at around 3am GMT on consoles.

If everything goes according to plan, The Elder Scrolls Online Greymoor play time should start at around 10am GMT (5am ET) on June 11 in the UK.

A message from Zenimax adds: “We are delaying the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launch of Greymoor out of respect for George Floyd and the service planned in Houston for June 9.

“We feel it would not be right for us to celebrate our launch and distract from more important events on that day.

“Maintenance will begin on Tuesday, June 9 at 10PM EDT, and we expect it to last for seven hours. Patch notes will be published during maintenance.”

Elder Scrolls Online is available to play on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Google Stadia.
