Fiona Bruce shuts down Bradley Walsh after Anne Hegerty jibe: ‘That’s too mean!’

On Sunday’s classic episode of The Chase: Celebrity Special, Bradley Walsh welcomed Fiona Bruce, Kate Humble, Rick Edwards and Joe Swash to the ITV quiz show. Antiques Roadshow host Fiona was first up to the table to take on the Chaser, but was left giving the presenter a ticking off for a savage swipe at Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty.

Fiona was first up this evening as she took part in the game’s cash-builder round to see how much money she could be playing for.

The BBC presenter got off to a flying start, racking up a respectable £7,000 to take to the table.

However, before she could play for the money she’d earned, she had to find out which Chaser she and the team would be facing off against.

Enter Bradley who began to reel off today’s possible Chasers with his typical jibes along the way.

The Chase host began: “Could it be the ‘Dark Destroyer’, Shaun Wallace.

“He’s blinking lively. I mean, when he’s blinking that’s him being lively.”

Bradley’s joke earnt a ripple of laughter from the ITV crowd as he continued: “(Or) maybe it’s The Sinnerman, Paul Sinha,

“All his photos are selfies. That’s self-centred, self-obsessed and self-satisfied.”

Next in the firing line was Mark ‘The Beast Labbett, as Bradley said: “He never gets stuck in a quiz,

“But always gets stuck in a door way,” he added.

Anne was the next Chaser to be unveiled as Bradley began: “Perhaps it’s the Governess, Anne Hegerty,

“She’s a bit of heartthrob, like angina.”
