Flights that come with a free upgrade can make a trip infinitely more enjoyable. And Virgin Atlantic passengers can now benefit from just that thanks to a new deal. Flight Centre UK is offering a free upgrade if you book Virgin Economy Classic with one of their travel consultants. Thanks to the offer, passengers will get bumped up to Virgin Economy Delight.
According to the Virgin website: “Economy Delight means you can speed through the airport by using Premium check in desks, enjoy priority boarding, and get first dibs on overhead storage before settling into your extra legroom seat with 34″ seat pitch.”
Virgin customers will still benefit from all the standard Economy services too.
These include: “Onboard WiFi, free 10kg hand luggage, 300+ hours of TV and films, complimentary drinks and snacks, a choice of tasty three-course meals and inseat power for your devices.”
The upgrade offered by Flight Centre UK comes at absolutely no extra cost to the customer.
However, the travel retailer points out the free upgrade is “subject to availability.” The offer is also only valid until Sunday 30 June.
Flight Centre UK explains: “Offer valid 20th-30th June 2019, for international airfares, flying direct between 20th June 2019 and 20th May 2020.
“Further terms and conditions apply – chat to your Travel Consultant for further information.”
The time-limited offer also applies to customers flying with US carrier Delta Air Lines.
If you book Delta’s Main Cabin with one of Flight Centre’s travel consultants, they’ll upgrade your seat for free to Delta Comfort+.
According to Delta’s website: “In addition to up to 3” of extra legroom, Delta Comfort+ seating offers dedicated overhead bin space just for your items.
“With Delta Comfort+, you’re invited to board early so that you can settle in and enjoy the ride.”
Delta passengers will also enjoy “complimentary snacks on every flight over 250 miles. Plus, your choice of Starbucks coffee, hot tea, a selection of Coca-Cola products, juices or water.”
On international routes and select domestic routes, passengers will also enjoy a complimentary meal.
Delta allows one carry-on bag and one personal item onboard at no charge. Baggage may not exceed 114 cm in combined length, width and height but there is no weight restriction.
A travel expert has revealed his top tips for scoring an upgrade on your next trip. Nicky Kelvin, Content Director of The Points Guy UK, advises British Airways and Virgin Atlantic as the most likely UK airlines to give out upgrades.
“Across the board, airlines will not just dish out upgrades, no matter what you wear, what you say, or how nice you are,” Kelvin told Express.co.uk.
“The key to flying nice is to plan ahead! Out of the UK, both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, and their partners can get you all around the world, and, if you know how, upgrading is possible for most people!”
