Freddie Mercury’s friends on his ‘OUTRAGEOUS’ sense of humour – ‘He always took the p***’

He may have died almost thirty years ago, but Freddie Mercury’s charm and humour is fondly remembered by his fans. Being in the Queen singer’s company was the subject of an episode in new video podcast series Finding Freddie. David Mallet who directed some of his music videos revealed that Freddie’s humour was “slightly camp mixed with something a little more subtle.”

“It was always humour [with him].

“And he was always willing to take the p***.

“If he was being serious on camera, he would immediately come off camera and start destroying himself with humour.”
