Google Maps Street View causes confusion after mysterious animal’s face is blurred out

Google Maps is a tool in which people can use to help navigate the world. You can travel to some of the world’s most popular landmarks and view them as if you were there in person. However, the tool has also been known to pick up some scenes that leave users asking lots of questions. This was definitely the case for this scene in Cambridge.

“If you see that your face or license plate requires additional blurring, or if you would like us to blur your entire house, car, or body, submit a request using the “Report a Problem” tool.”

But many questioned why an animal’s face is blurred out?

Despite animals not being part of Google’s privacy rules, many suggested that the cow tricked the system into thinking it had a human face.

When Google wishes to protect privacy, it will blur out any important details like number plates, house numbers and people’s faces.

The property has been completely hidden from every angle. The car is also completely hidden, no details reveal what make of car it may be.

No other houses have been blurred on the street but Google also states that anyone who wishes to have their house blurred out, can do so by submitting a request on the website.
While there is no obvious reason for the house being blurred out, there could be a number of reasons.

This may have been the case for this house as the owners may not want other people viewing their house on the site.

However many celebrities’ homes are blurred out on Google Street View.

The homes of celebrities including Paul McCartney, Tony Blair and Lily Allen have been completely blurred from the 3D mapping service.
