GTA 5 free download warning: LAST CHANCE for Grand Theft Auto 5 on Epic Store

GTA 5 is free to download from the Epic Games Store, but only for a limited time.

Indeed, Epic Games has warned fans to download Grand Theft Auto 5 for free, before it’s too late.

“Drive it like you stole it,” Epic tweets. “You’ve got one more day to pick up Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition for FREE on the Epic Games Store!”

According to the countdown on the Epic website, GTA 5 will be available to download until 4pm on May 21.

A brand new free game will replace GTA 5, although it will take something pretty special to outdo the Rockstar classic.

One thing that’s worth noting is that users will have to enable two-factor authentication to access GTA 5 Premium Edition for free.

The Premium Edition contains the Grand Theft Auto 5 story mode, GTA Online, plus the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack.

This bundle would typically cost £24.99, but you can grab it completely free of charge.

“The Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack is the fastest way for new GTA Online players to jumpstart their criminal empires with the most exciting and popular content plus $1,000,000 bonus cash to spend in GTA Online – all content valued at over GTA $10,000,000 if purchased separately,” reads the official description.

“Launch business ventures from your Maze Bank West Executive Office, research powerful weapons technology from your underground Gunrunning Bunker and use your Counterfeit Cash Factory to start a lucrative counterfeiting operation.

“Tear through the streets with a range of 10 high performance vehicles including a Supercar, Motorcycles, the weaponised Dune FAV, a Helicopter, a Rally Car and more. You’ll also get properties including a 10 car garage to store your growing fleet.

“You’ll also get access to the Compact Grenade Launcher, Marksman Rifle and Compact Rifle along with Stunt Racing Outfits, Biker Tattoos and more.”

Rumour has it Grand Theft Auto 5 will be replaced by Civilization 6 on May 21.

The 2K published strategy game is sitting pretty with an 88% review score on Metacritic.

The news comes as Epic launches the MEGA Sale, which runs from now until June 11.

“Get deals on great games like Control, Satisfactory, Borderlands 3, Anno 1800, Red Dead Redemption 2 and many more,” Epic explains.
