One of the big features of the next-gen consoles will be ray tracing graphics, which the PS5 and Xbox Series X are capable of.

This rendering technique helps to create extremely lifelike lighting and shadow effects, and is used in Hollywood movies and TV shows to create jaw-dropping CGI scenes.

If GTA 6 is – as rumoured – only coming to next-gen consoles then it’s likely it’ll take full advantage of this state-of-the art tech.

And we’ve been given a glimpse into how good GTA 6 could end up looking thanks to a ray-tracing mod that is in the works for GTA 5.

As reported on in a post by Inverse, Natural Visions Evolved is a new mod that is in the works for Grand Theft Auto 5.

And the ray tracing tech seen in the mod completely transforms a game that was first released back in 2013 into something that looks spectacular.
