Happy Anniversary! Meghan and Harry share NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN pictures of royal wedding

Last year Meghan Markle and Prince Harry wed in a lavish ceremony at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19. Meghan wore a stunning white dress designed by Clare Waight Keller, wearing a beautiful veil that gave a sweet nod to the 53 nations of the Commonwealth. To celebrate their one year anniversary the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared never-before seen pictures of their royal wedding on the Instagram account @Sussexroyal.

The photographs, many in black and white, capture special moments from last year’s royal wedding, including an intimate picture showing Meghan with mum Doria Ragland.

Other images show Prince Harry excitedly heading to the church with older brother Prince William and Meghan being handed her bridal bouquet.

The photographs also show fresh angles on official photographs, such as the one of Meghan and Harry sitting with their young bridesmaids and pageboys and of the royal couple’s kiss outside of the Chapel.

The final image in the short compilation of photographs is of the royal fans who came out in huge numbers to try and catch a glimpse of the royal couple on their wedding day and thanks them “for making the memory of this day so special”.

The Instagram post, published this morning, said: “Happy one year anniversary to Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex!

“Today marks the one year anniversary of the wedding of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“Their Royal Highnesses exchanged vows at St George’s Chapel within the grounds of Windsor Castle on May 19th, 2018.

“The selected song “This Little Light of Mine” was chosen by the couple for their recessional.

“We hope you enjoy reliving this moment, and seeing some behind the scenes photos from this special day.

“A message from The Duke & Duchess: Thank you for all of the love and support from so many of you around the world. “Each of you made this day even more meaningful.”

The post has already been viewed by over 680,000 people and royal fans have commented on the post in their hundreds, congratulating the couple on their first anniversary.

Earlier this month Meghan and Harry welcomed their first son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor into the world, who is seventh in line to the throne.

Commenting on Harry and Meghan’s first wedding anniversary, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said the couple have had a “truly amazing year” that has also featured numerous trips abroad.

This included a tour around Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji, as well as Morocco and even Dublin.

Mr Fitzwilliams previously told Express.co.uk: “Their wedding was a global event and subsequently they have become one of the world’s power couples.

“They have had successful trips abroad, Meghan coped brilliantly when pregnant.

“The charities they espouse from mental health to Invictus and the causes Meghan supports such as female empowerment have been much boosted.

“They have positioned themselves as an activist couple with a truly international reach inspired by Diana.

“How will they celebrate? With Archie, undoubtedly. Obviously we won’t be told.

“It would be a wonderful idea if they released family photos which may well be their intention.

“The world is waiting for more photos of Archie and this would be a way to get their many admirers across the globe to celebrate an amazing year with them.”
