Max (played by Jo Martin) was horrified when she learned Guy (John Michie) was a shareholder of questionable private company Kestrel and she almost handed in her resignation when she realised how controversial it was. While Max ultimately decided to stay at the hospital, Guy has been keeping out of her way since his return. But upcoming episodes will see him try to show he’s not as bad as she thinks by performing a life surgery.
However, when Guy gets into theatre, things don’t go to plan and he begins to suffer a breakdown.
Max is wary of her former partner after she learned just how deceitful he had been and is now worried about what his motives are.
Wanting to prove himself, Guy will promise to perform a risky surgery on a patient to get himself in her good books.
The surgery would also allow him to show off his brilliant skills as a neurosurgeon.
After only just recovering from surgery, Fletch is confident he is in remission but could the consultant reveal his cancer has returned?
He’s forced to wait a week for the results and will turn to Essie for support.
But the nurse is distracted with her own diagnosis and in coming weeks she will begin to turn to her late husband Raf (Joe McFadden) for support.
It has been confirmed that despite being dead, Raf will return to Holby to advise his wife.
