House of Commons in CHAOS as furious MPs rage at ‘farcical’ scenes in Parliament

Leader of the House of Commons, Jacob Rees-Mogg tabled a motion on Monday to prevent virtual voting to take place. Furious MPs took to social media to voice their frustration at being asked to vote in person on the motion on Tuesday afternoon, due to the coronavirus crisis. Conservative former minister Mark Francois initially gave his name as former Labour minister Ed Balls before casting his no vote.

Tory MP Peter Bone (Wellingborough) appeared to impersonate a pirate as he repeated his ‘aye’ vote, saying: “Aye…. aye aye!”

Casting his vote one place before Commons Leader Jacob Rees-Mogg, Labour MP Kevin Brennan (Cardiff West) said: “Kevin Brennan, voting aye in the Mogg shambles.
