I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2020 will be airing on ITV from November 15 and fans are looking forward to a new batch of famous faces get pushed to their limits. The line-up for this year is being confirmed on Sunday, November 8, and fans can also look forward to a throwback episode with hosts Ant and Dec. There have been suggestions the show will be a couple of days shorter this year, and Express.co.uk has investigated.
How many episodes are in I’m a Celeb 2020?
I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! will be returning to screens this year despite the coronavirus pandemic throwing the reality show into turmoil.
There have been some significant changes this year, with the 2020 season being filmed at Gwrych Castle in Wales, as opposed to the usual location in Australia.
The first episode for the 2020 series will air between 9pm and 10.35pm on ITV, with the remaining episodes airing daily from 9pm until 10pm.
This will be the 20th season of the popular competition series, but this year the winner will be crowned king or queen of the castle, instead of the jungle.
Previous seasons have consisted of 22 episodes, but according to the season 10 Wikipedia page, this season will only consist of 20 episodes.
Express.co.uk contacted ITV, who said they could not confirm the number of episodes in advance of the series airing.
Some reports have said the season will be two days shorter due to Welsh temperatures dipping to near freezing, as opposed to the usual 30-degree heat in Australia.
Earlier in 2020 it was revealed the show would take place in Wales due to the coronavirus pandemic had lead to travel restrictions.
The Sun has suggested the series will end on a Friday this year, instead of the usual Sunday evening slot, but this has not been confirmed.
A source quoted in The Mirror said there had been some concerns about the contestants getting a shock during a cold snap, and will end up walking out mid-season.
They added: “They were even worried some might not even enter the castle at all. This will be harder than the Australian jungle. It will be damp and freezing.”
There has been recent news to say the clothing for this year’s season has been updated to help combat the harsh weather conditions.
ITV bosses supposedly took advice from medical experts on how the stars can prevent themselves from getting frostbite.
Well-insulated camping gear is likely to be introduced this year so the celebrities can stay safe and healthy during the harsh winds and cold temperatures.
Fans have mixed opinions about the series being filmed in Wales this year, with one fan commenting on Twitter: “BEYOND EXCITED & it’s down the road from me. Well, round a few bends and passed a few fields.”
Another fan said: “I’m looking forward to this series it’s going to be very different I can’t wait.” Whereas some are suggesting it will not be the same, saying: “Just cancel the show until next year.”
Not much has been revealed about the bushtucker trials this year, and it is not known whether the classic water cyclone challenge will go ahead.

Another fan said: “I honestly can’t wait. I really don’t want it to change though I love the jungle.”
But the series will be welcomed by viewers who have been waiting for some classics to return to the small screen during lockdown.
One viewer said: “I can’t wait for this, a real glimmer of good entertainment in such a rubbish year @antanddec.”
The popular series is just what fans need during these testing and unfamiliar times, albeit the changes will take some getting used to.
There is no doubt the creators of the show will have taken action to make sure the celebrities are kept safe during their stay.
Another fan said on Twitter: “You are going to need lots of wet weather gear and maybe a rubber dingy or two. Oh and thermal underwear.”
While viewers are waiting for the season to start, they can enjoy a special episode on ITV which will look back at the previous 19 seasons.
As part of the special episode on Sunday, Ant and Dec took part in a bushtucker trial for the first time, which fans will get to see in full.
Ant and Dec tweeted a photo of themselves covered in slime and creepy crawlies saying: “Well, we did it. We finally got talked into doing a #BushertuckerTrial.
“Don’t ask how but rest assured it was as hideous as we thought! See the full trial, and take a look back at 19 series of #ImACeleb, on A Jungle Story, 8.10pm next Sunday, November 8 on @ITV.”
Two weeks before the start of the show everyone involved in the series isolated, so fans will not have to worry about them breaking social distancing rules.
