India explosion: Huge blast heard for miles DEVASTATES coronavirus hotspot amid China feud

The explosion was reported at ONGC Hariza Plant in Surat, in the Gujarat state. Social media users took photos and video of the shocking explosion, which started around 3am (11pm BST). Locals reported shockwaves from the blast could be felt up to 3 to 4km away, shaking buildings and damaging windows. The cause of the blast is unknown at this time, but some have speculated a pressure valve bursting inside the plant.
