Kate Middleton and Prince William mark NHS anniversary in very special way
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn to mark the 72nd anniversary of the NHS.
Kate, 38, and William, 38, enjoyed afternoon tea with doctors, nurses and other staff at the hospital in Norfolk.
Mother-of-three Kate looked stunning in a blue dress with a white collar, while William was smart in a grey blazer.
The hospital, which celebrates its own 40th birthday later this month, serves more than 330,000 people across Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire and has treated 450 patients with coronavirus.
Kate and William are spending the lockdown at their Norfolk residence Anmer Hall with their three children Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, five, and two-year-old Prince Louis.
The couple have recently started stepping out for face-to-face royal duties again as restrictions have eased.
Last week, Kate joined families from East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (Each) to plant a garden at The Nook, one of Each’s hospices.
She worked alongside a volunteer gardener, staff and two families to help create a new garden for the children’s hospice.
Tracy Rennie, Each’s acting chief executive, said of Kate: “She was absolutely prepared to get her hands dirty – she didn’t need the gardening gloves we offered her – and even plunged her hands into the earth with that massive engagement ring on!”
