Last of Us 2 trailer out TOMORROW: Reveal time for new Naughty Dog announcement

The news comes as the Last of Us 2 director Neil Druckmann has confirmed that TLOU2 has gone gold, meaning a master copy is ready for printing and distribution.

Druckmann thanked the team working on the Last of Us 2 for Naughty Dog’s “most ambitious game” they have ever made.

And in a video on the Naughty Dog YouTube Druckmann said the delay to the game’s previous May release date gave the devs extra time to “polish” it.

Druckmann said: “I just want to take this moment to congratulate the team that has pulled off the most ambitious game we’ve ever made.

“I know I have said this before but you won’t know to what degree until you get your hands on it and just see the care, the care that has gone into every detail.

“From the level design, to the mechanics, just graphically how the game looks – environments, art direction, characters, story, the audio design, the soundtrack.
