League of Legends Wild Rift reveal: New LoL Mobile news ahead of release date

Riot Games has confirmed that a new League of Legends Wild Rift gameplay reveal is coming today.

Fans have been waiting for news about the upcoming LoL port and now a few questions could be answered.

From what has been shared so far about, it’s going to be focused on gameplay, although we don’t know from what platform.

There’s a good chance it will include LoL Mobile, as this is expected to be the first place Wild Rift will be available to download.

There is no indication yet on whether a League of Legends Wild Rift release date will be mentioned, but fans are hoping for an update.

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS WILD RIFT GAMEPLAY

The League of Legends Wild Rift gameplay reveal is being held as part of the Summer Game Fest today, May 29. 2020.

The event will feature an interview with Wild Rift’s design lead, Brian Feeney, and will be kicking off at 8am PT, 4pm GMT.

Riot Games confirmed to fans that big news was coming regarding League of Legends on Mobile and consoles.

Riot Games has confirmed that they will be kicking off a new round of testing for Wild Rift next month.

This won’t be kicking off until June 2020 and will be very limited in scope, meaning it won’t include a LoL Mobile beta build.

Instead, it will be an Alpha version of League of Legends Wild Rift, which will be available in Brazil and the Philippines.

News on the LoL Mobile rollout will be shared by the end of May and will include details for Android and iOS users.

This information was shared by Riot Games earlier this month, following a mix up on the Google Play Store.

“Many of you found a “testing” link that was briefly available on the Play Store,” a message from Riot Games explains.

“Opting into this test likely put your account into a weird state with an “install” button that errored out.

“This one was our bad; we had accidentally toggled a setting that allowed you to ‘opt-in’ to a non-existent early access test.

“If you’re affected by this, you might have to pre-register again, but everything else should be back to normal.

“We’ve also seen reports that push notification has been sent out to some players saying the game is available.

“We’re still tracking down the source of where this is happening, but to be clear: the game is not available yet.

“So please don’t download anything fishy! Thanks to everyone that helped us troubleshoot so far.

“We’re temporarily raising the required device specs to support a very limited alpha test next month in Brazil and The Philippines.

“More info on that, and a bunch more, at the end of May. Hopefully, this helps – thanks for sticking with us.”

League of Legends Wild Rift is to launch on mobile devices in 2020, with a console version also in the works.
