In the market for a new TV? Take a look at this giant gogglebox from LG which, at a whopping 325-inches, will fill an entire wall in your home. In fact, judging by the pictures the Korean firm has released you’ll probably need a new mansion to fit it in.
This epic cinema display features a pin-sharp 8K panel that uses millions of direct-view LEDs to display your nightly dose of Netflix or Marvel binge on Disney+. Along with needing a very big home, you’re also going to need plenty of cash in the bank with some reports suggesting it will cost a cool $1.7million.
That’s around £1.25million and makes LG’s £100,000 rollable telly, which folds away when you’re finished with it, look like an absolute bargain.
In the past, these giant tellies have only been available to commercial customers but that’s all changed with LG now thought to be allowing anyone with enough money to buy one.
Along with needing some pretty big walls to place it on you may also need to hire a team of builders to fit it as the giant screen weighs in at over 900Kg.
If £1.25 million on a telly sounds like a little too much for the credit card then here are some cheaper options from LG.
Of course, LG isn’t the only firm launching supersized tellies with Samsung offering its humongous ‘The Wall’ screen to anyone rich enough to afford it.
Samsung says that the 2021 model offers its most detailed picture yet with the industry’s first 8K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and Simple 8K playback.
A new Micro AI Processor instantly analyses and optimizes every frame of the video to deliver the best picture quality possible. By using up to 16 different neural network models, each trained in AI upscaling and deep learning technology, the Micro AI Processor can optimize picture quality up to 8K resolution, enhancing contrast and removing noise.
“Samsung is dedicated to creating the most innovative displays for those at the forefront of video creation and brand experiences,” said Hyesung Ha, Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “The 2021 The Wall is our most immersive and versatile display yet, giving businesses complete control to create their dream environments.”
