The police have confirmed that the collision took place shortly before 10pm in Kensington. The woman was rushed to a central London hospital. As it stands, her condition is unknown.
The woman collided with the car on Warwick Road, close to Kensington High Street.
The road remains closed following the accident.
Scotland Yard confirmed that an investigation was underway.
The accident in Kensington comes after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death in northwest London.
The boy was attacked in Munster Square in Camden on Monday evening and was pronounced dead on the scene.
A resident in the area said: “I was just in my room and all I heard was screaming and shouting.
“Through my bedroom window I could see everything.
“We just saw the three boys holding him.
“He collapsed on the floor and then it was quiet.”
In order to top the crime epidemic spreading across the country, Boris Johnson has announced a series of pledges to tackle the problem.
They plan to recruit an extra 20,000 police officers will begin within weeks and an urgent review will take place of plans to make it easier for forces to use stop-and-search powers.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan has created a violent crime reduction unit with a focus on tackling the problem, which he partly attributes to Tory cuts in policing.
