Financing Jadon Sancho
Chelsea could finance a deal for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho by offloading two unwanted on-loan players.
Premier League rivals Manchester United are also interested in Sancho with the England international valued at £120million.
Chelsea will have to generate funds through player sales and could earn themselves nearly £80m from selling the on-loan duo of Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata.
Adrien Rabiot twist
Arsenal have entered the congested battle to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
Italian website Calciomercato24 claim Mikel Arteta contacted Rabiot’s mother and agent, Veronique Rabiot, to discuss a loan switch in January.
Rabiot himself is even claimed to have spoken directly with the Gunners manager before Juventus decided to keep him within their ranks.
The news will come as a bitter blow for Newcastle, who have engaged in negotiations with Juventus over a £26million deal, and have offered Rabiot a lucrative contract.
Kalidou Koulibaly contact
Manchester United and Liverpool are set to battle it out for centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly.
That’s according to French publication Le10Sport, who claim Napoli are hoping to receive £88million for their Senegal international.
That price would constitute a world record fee for a defender – a record currently held by Manchester United, who paid £80m for Harry Maguire from Leicester in August 2019.
It’s claimed that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward contacted Koulibaly’s representatives at the beginning of April to discuss a potential deal.
Le10Sport claim Paris-Saint Germain have ‘abandoned’ their interest in the 28-year-old, leaving United, Liverpool and Newcastle to fight for his services.
Wanted: Talles Magno
Liverpool have competition from Paris Saint-Germain in their pursuit of Talles Magno.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were reportedly leading the charge to sign the highly-rated Brazilian teenager with Vasco da Gama looking to sell because of the financial impact of COVID-19.
Magno, who’s been likened to Neymar, has a £44million release clause but Vasco are prepared to accept for around £26m.
However, French website Le10sport claim PSG have decided to challenge Liverpool, Sevilla, Lazio, Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica for his services.
Milot Rashica latest
Liverpool have ‘cooled’ their interest in Werder Bremen forward Milot Rashica.
The Reds were considering a summer swoop for the Kosovo international, who has scored 23 goals and provided 11 assists for the Bundesliga side.
But Sky Sports suggest other Premier League sides are more interested.
It’s said that Aston Villa, Brighton, West Ham and Wolves are all eager to sign the 23-year-old, who has a £35million release clause in his contract.
