The Luther star said he and his now-wife Sabrina Dhowre understand what strain the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are going through. He told the Daily Mail: “They are friends of ours, and I can just imagine what a difficult time this is for them right now.
“We can relate to what they are going through because it’s as if you are in a goldfish bowl sometimes.”
The 47-year-old added that his wife Sabrina had to adjust to being criticised by his “big” fan base.

Last year in an interview with The Observer, the star spoke about the “special experience” of watching Meghan and Harry get married.
The actor said he knew Harry from “just round the way, haha, he’s a neighbourhood lad!”
The long speculated next James Bond said that the royal wedding at Windsor Castle was one of the “highlights” of his life.
Before going on to add: “I try not to talk too much about it, because it was a private day, but it remains one of the highlights of my life, for sure.”
“It was a beautiful experience,” he says, “like all weddings are.”
Meghan Markle also requested Idris DJ their reception, after providing him with a list of tunes.
He revealed that the Duchess included some “West Coast on it.”
Though he did say he would not confirm exactly what songs Meghan requested.
“I’m not gonna put their business out like that, that’s not fair,” he said.
The revelations come as many have speculated that Meghan and Harry’s move to North America will see them connect with showbiz friends and make new ones.
All of Hollywood is reportedly clamouring for the opportunity to spend time with royals once they cross the Atlantic.
Including Friends star Jennifer Aniston, who the Mirror have claimed wants to “connect” with the Duchess while she films the Murder Mystery sequel.
Jen is allegedly a “huge fan” of Meghan’s work on legal drama Suits and would love the opportunity to star alongside her.
