Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were given secret warning by Charles before royal split

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their decision to step away from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family back in January. The pair set their sights on becoming financially independent and later moved to LA. However, Harry’s father Prince Charles gave the Prince some wise words before the royal couple had made their decision.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has been living in Los Angeles with their son, Archie since they completed their final royal engagement in March.

The couple originally planned to split their time between America and the UK. However, their plans were changed due to the pandemic.

The couple have been involved in charity work and are planning to launch their new organisation Archewell this year.

Meghan has since appeared in numerous video calls with charities close to her heart and has also received widespread praise for her speech on George Floyd.

However, many still fear for the couple’s popularity following their decision to leave their royal duties behind as the Queen turns 94.

Now, with the publication of the unofficial royal biography, the couple are even more under the spotlight.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have distanced themselves from an upcoming book on their time in the Royal Family, saying they were not interviewed for the biography and did not make any contributions to it.

The book, entitled ‘Finding Freedom’, is due to be published in August.

The unofficial biography is expected to shed light on the couple’s frustrations with the palace and press.

Royal Biographer Tom Bower recently opened up about Harry and Meghan’s decision to leave and Harry’s association with the book in a piece for the Daily Mail.

Of the book, Mr Bower said: “Now, he has found himself associated with a book reading like a sour litany of complaints against the people and the life he used to hold dear.”

He said that while the Prince of Wales told Harry he may always have a place in the Royal Family, he also warned could be different for Meghan.

He warned the couple could face a difficult life in Los Angeles.

He added: “I hope that Harry really will find freedom – but not in the way the title of the book suggests.

“I pray that one day he returns to the country he cherishes, and which still cherishes him.

“According to the authors, Charles had made it clear to Harry that he was very much part of the future for the Royal Family, despite calls for a ‘slimmed down monarchy’ with fewer senior working Royals.

“For Meghan, however, I fear there is no return.”

Mr Bower also warned the pair may not have the easy life they might have hoped for in LA.

He added: “Harry and Meghan left Britain supposedly to be free, but I have my doubts.

“For the truth is that a combination of Covid-19, a new mood of disgust at conspicuous excess, and the air of contention that seems to dog them wherever they go mean they have not yet been the success they hoped in America.

“To maintain their lifestyle – the houses, servants, cars, chauffeurs – they will need to make millions from their appearances.

“They need the work.

“But as one studio executive told The Mail on Sunday yesterday, the Sussexes are just too controversial to employ right now.

“And what, in any case, do Americans want to hear from Harry aside from stories of his mother – who remains the subject of compelling interest across the Atlantic.”
