The Duke and Duchess are launching their Archewell Audio podcast on Spotify. They made the announcement via a trailer posted on the Spotify website.
In return an undisclosed sum will be paid to one of the charities they support.
According to Meghan the podcast will focus on “acts of compassion and kindness”.
The Duchess praised Harry’s accent and lovingly mocked him for his “podcast voice” during the announcement.
The exchange began with Harry asking: “Shall we start? No? Ladies first?”
Meghan replies: “No, say it because I think it sounds really nice with your accent.”
In January the Duke and Duchess caused a global sensation by announcing their intention to step down as senior members of the Royal Family.
Instead the couple vowed to become “financially independent” and to split their time between North America and Britain.
They have since announced a mega deal with streaming giant Netflix.
Touchingly the Duchess commented: “Oh he has a podcast voice!”
The first episode of the new podcast, a festive special, will be released later this month.
Meghan said: “We’re talking to some amazing people, they’re going to share their memories that have really helped shape this past year which has been, as we know, a difficult one for everyone.”
Last month the Duchess bravely wrote about the tragic miscarriage she suffered in the New York Times.
She described feeling a “sharp cramp” whilst looking after Archie, the couple’s first son.
Meghan wrote: “I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second.”
The Duke and Duchess moved back to California, Meghan’s home state, shortly before the coronavirus lockdown began in March.
During the shutdown both Harry and Meghan were spotted delivering supplies to vulnerable Los Angeles residents.
Recently the couple moved into a new £11.2 million home in Santa Barbara, to the north of LA.
The luxury property comes complete with a swimming pool, tennis court and guest house.
