MOT changes 2020: My car MOT has expired – what should I do now?

According to gov.uk, people whose MOTs expire on or after March 30 will have them extended by six months.

They said the changes mean people will have a valid MOT certificate on their vehicles for another half a year.

The new rules apply to cars, motorcycles, light vans or other light vehicles.

The Government has added people don’t need to take action for it to apply, although they must ensure their cars are still roadworthy before driving.
