Netflix Party: How to host an online Netflix binge with friends

Watching Netflix while at home is one of the great pleasures of the modern age. But watching Netflix alone can get rather stale, especially those forced to self-isolate due to the coronavirus epidemic. Fortunately, there is now a way to remotely enjoy Netflix as a group thanks to the Netflix Party function.

How to host a Netflix Party:

To use Netflix Party, all participants will require Chrome browsers and the Netflix Party extension.

Remember, this Chrome extension only works with Netflix and no other streaming sites.

Once the Chrome extension is installed, log into Netflix and select something to watch.

Next, click the NP extension icon after you loaded up your video of choice.

The news coincides with Netflix’s announcement it will reduce the video quality on its service in Europe for the next 30 days, to reduce the strain on internet service providers.

Demand for streaming has increased because large parts of Europe are self-isolating at home due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The video-streaming provider said lowering the picture quality would reduce Netflix data consumption by 25 percent.

However, Netflix reassured its customers would still find the picture quality good.
