It’s believed 49 people have died and 48 left injured, following shootings at two mosques in New Zealand. The massacre was led by at least one gunman on Friday. Following the horrifying events, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said in a press conference: “We believe that 40 people have lost their lives in this act of extreme violence. At 8pm New Zealand time (7am GMT), Ms Ardern said the national security threat level had been lifted from low to high following the deadly shootings.
