Neymar became the world’s most expensive player when he joined PSG from Barcelona for £200million in 2017.
He has scored 34 times and provided 21 assists in two Ligue 1 seasons.
But speculation over his future in Paris has intensified over the course of the summer, with former club Barcelona and Real Madrid reportedly interested in signing the 27-year-old.
Neymar has now been left of the PSG squad for the second week running.
He missed their Ligue 1 opener against Nimes last week and will not feature at Rennes this evening.
Despite the uncertainty over his future, head coach Thomas Tuchel insisted the Brazilian was still an important player for the club.
“If I think of a strong PSG team, I think of a team with Ney in it,” said Tuchel.
In the 3-0 win over Nimes, PSG fans held up signs calling for Neymar to leave.
How much does Neymar earn at PSG?
The forward agreed to a five-year contract at Parc des Princes.
The deal sees him take home a reported annual salary of €38million (£34.7m) before tax.
That works out at approximately €731,000 per week, or £667,000.
However, Neymar would be prepared to take a €15m (£13.7m) pay cut to rejoin Barcelona, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
“The player is happy to reduce his wages from 38 million euros net to 23 million euros net,” said Balague.
“It is an interesting situation at Barcelona. They feel they have to try really hard to get him back.”
What is Neymar’s net worth?
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Neymar’s overall wealth is valued at $185m (£152m).
Like many top sports stars, the player’s income is also boosted through endorsements.
Neymar has sponsorship deals with the likes of Beats Electronics, Electronic Arts, Gillette, Mastercard, McDonald’s and Nike.
