Speaking about the update, Marina Storti, Managing Director, NOW TV, said: “With the new home working measures in place, everyone is adjusting to the “new normal” and getting to grips with new technology which is causing rising levels of anxiety for many home workers’. The endless stream of video calls can be quite draining so at NOW TV we wanted to offer a little escapism and use our award-winning boxset and blockbuster movie collections to bring some fun to the working day with the Screen Saviours backgrounds.”
According to research from NOW TV, half of the nation – 26 million of us – have now had to take part in a video conference and almost two thirds have had to do so for the first time since we started the most recent period of home working.
However, the research found that over half of video callers are experiencing “home shame”, concerned that colleagues can see into their homes (spotting the empty wine bottles and underwear drying on the radiator) and are embarrassed about their domestic set-up.
