Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne are known for their up and down, highly publicised relationship.
The pair first came to prominence as a couple when they appeared on the MTV show The Osbournes, where Sharon and their children Kelly and Jack became known for their roles.
Their argumentative and haphazard family life became famous, almost overshadowing Ozzy’s music career as the vocalist of Black Sabbath and subsequent solo career.
Ozzy is also known for being an alcohol and drug user with the most notorious incident taking place in 1989 when he was arrested for attempted murder after he attempted to strangle Sharon, as she described in The Guardian.
However, according to an interview with Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan, these were not the regrets which came to mind.
Asked about his biggest regret, he said he had been a “bad boy at times,” before Sharon spoke up about their relationship.
She said: “It’s like a Shakespearian play – our love story. Ozzy’s been a right old f****r with women.”
Ozzy tried to deny this, but as Morgan agreed with Sharon over their relationship, the rocker was asked how he felt about the idea of losing Sharon.
He said: “Absolutely. I was terrified.
“I think it was just another fix. If you’re a junkie like I was, anything that alters your mind, you go for.
“I didn’t love any of these people. I’ve learned a lesson.”
Asking Sharon about her views on this, she said: “I was just really broken in every sense.”
Ozzy described how she got her revenge by cutting “every sleeve off of every coat I own,” before admitting the affairs were part of his biggest regret.
He said her departure would have frightened him and became emotional as he described his fear of losing her.
Ozzy added: “You never know what you have until you’ve lost it. When I fell in love with her, I knew from a distance.
“What attracted me to Sharon, she always had this infectious laugh. It’s like the plant was happy. It was just one of those things… the shoes fit.
“She’s still here and I’m still here, so out of all our ups and downs, we’re still together.”
Last year, Sharon spoke on Loose Women about why she chose not to end her marriage with Ozzy after one affair was reported in 2016.
She said: “When you’ve spent 40 years with someone who you absolutely adore, you’ve built a life together, you work together.
“Every single thing about my husband, you know every part of their body and what they really feel about you.
“Yes it’s happened a lot with my husband and I feel if he had an emotional attachment to another woman that’s when there is no saving a marriage.
“But if it’s just whatever she did, whatever you did to her, next, don’t even know the name… see you, bye.”
