P20 Pro prices continue to fall but Huawei is releasing something even cheaper this week

Huawei’s P20 Pro might be ridiculously cheap right now but an even bigger bargain will be released later this week.

The Chinese technology firm’s new P30 Lite is hitting stores on May 10th and promises to bring some impressive specs on a much smaller budget.

In fact, this new device costs just £329 which is over £200 less than most of the current P20 Pro deals.

So what do you get for your money?

The P30 Lite arrives packing plenty of flagship features which include a 6.15-inch FullView display, large 3,340mAh battery and fast Kirin 970 processor.

These are all nice additions but it’s the rear of the phone where things get really exciting.

On the back case, you’ll find a triple rear camera which includes a high definition 48MP (f/1.8) Wide Angle lens, an 8MP Ultra-Wide Angle lens (f/2.4) and an 2MP dedicated bokeh lens.

P30 lite also offers Handheld Super Night Mode which harnesses AI image stabilisation, as well as improving multi-frame and long exposure photography at night, to ensure photos have exceptional detail, colour and clarity in low light scenarios.

Speaking about the P30 Lite, Walter Ji, President of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group for the Western European Region, said: “Last year we launched an industry first triple lens camera on our flagship phones which included an ultra-wide angle lens.

“Today we launch this with the HUAWEI P30 lite giving people even more tools to explore creative possibilities.

“This is our next step in providing consumers with the best possible smartphone camera experience and bring meaningful innovation to every person in the world.“

The P30 Lite follows on from the launch of the P30 Pro which could be a contender for best phone of the year.

This £899 flagship offers fast speeds, market-leading quadruple camera and huge 4,200mAh battery for hours of usage.

If you still fancy buying last year’s P20 Pro then now is a very good time to pick up this older flagship.

Retailers including Argos, Currys and John Lewis have all slashed prices of this device with it now available for just £529 – that’s over £200 less than when it first went on sale.

The P20 Pro packs plenty of technology inside its shell including a triple rear camera, huge 4,000mAh battery and a fast Kirn 970 processor.
