Pokemon Go Seedot Community Day: May 2020 event start date, time, bonuses, Shiny news

Pokemon Go fans are counting down to the start of the May 2020 Community Day event.

The latest Pokemon Go Community Day event shifts the focus to Seedot, which is ideal if you don’t have Shiftry.

Unlike traditional Community Day events, the May 2020 celebration is a Play at Home edition.

Niantic explains more: “Get ready for another Community Day: Play at Home Edition, this time featuring Seedot, the Acorn Pokemon!

“This special event format will last six hours and will feature increased Incense duration, GO Snapshot surprises, a Special Research story, and more!

“We’ll also be testing the very first Community Day livestream during the event, so stay tuned for more details.”

The Seedot Community Day has a May 24 release date and an 11am start time. It ends six hours later at 5pm local time.

As part of the Community Day event, some lucky fans will be able to capture a Shiny Seedot.

Players who evolve Nuzleaf (the evolved form of Seedot) into Shiftry during event hours will be rewarded with the Community Day exclusive Bullet Seed move.

Other bonuses include triple Catch XP, three-hour Incense, and bonus items from Buddy Pokemon ranked Great or higher.

Niantic is promising to reward players who take snapshots with a mystery surprise, while a Community Day bundle will be available in the shops.

The May Community Day bundle features an Elite Fast TM, 30 Ultra Balls, three Incense, and three Lucky Eggs.

If you really want to get into the spirit of things, then you can also pick up the Seeing Double Special Research Story.

“Follow Professor Willow as he learns about Seedot and discovers just how much it and its evolved forms, Nuzleaf and Shiftry, enjoy messing with Trainers and Pokemon alike,” reads the official description.

“Complete it to earn three Incense, five Golden Razz Berries, and other rewards.”

As an added bonus, Niantic is hosting a 24-hour Community Day live stream on YouTube.

For UK viewers, the action kicks off at 2am BST on May 24, so you can check it out on the morning of the event.
