Police ‘deeply concerned’ after schoolgirls, 12 and 8, go missing from Redditch

Cousins Leah Giles, 12, and Brianna Savage, 8, who both live in the Greenlands area of Redditch in Worcestershire, were last seen at 1am this morning (January 2). West Mercia police do not believe anyone else is involved in their disappearance, and are working on the basis that they left “of their own accord”. Leah is 5ft 3, mixed race and has long dark curly hair which is usually tied back.

She is currently wearing a special boot because she has a broken toe.

As a result, she is likely to be limping, and also may wearing a black puffa jacket.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating two girls who have gone missing from home in the Greenlands area of Redditch overnight.

Brianna is white with strawberry blonde hair which is in plaits in a fishtail.

Inspector  Lee Page said: “Officers and family are deeply concerned for both the girls’ safety and welfare and would ask the public to remain vigilant this morning.

Anyone who thinks they have seen the pair or who has information on their whereabouts should call 101.”
