Power: Ghost’s return to Starz universe ‘sealed’ – but there’s a catch says showrunner

Ghost’s fate appeared to be sealed in the divisive Power series finale.
After being seen falling from the balcony of his nightclub Truth in episode 10 of season six with a bullet wound in his chest, the final five episodes whittled down the suspects one by one.
With the likes of Dre (Rotimi), Paz (Elizabeth Rodriguez), Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and Rashad Tate (Larenz Tate) all ruled out by the finale, only three suspects remained.
They were Ghost’s son Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr), his estranged wife Tasha (Naturi Naughton) and NYPD detective Cooper Saxe (Shane Johnson).

Tariq was the one who was revealed to pull the trigger and kill his own father, although he wouldn’t end up serving time because of it.
Instead, when detective Blanca Rodriguez (Monique Gabriela Curnen) pieced together the clues, she determined it was Tasha who was guilty, not her son.
Tasha took the blame in order for her son to go to college and aim for a brighter future.
The St Patrick pair’s story will be picked up in Power Book II: Ghost and the showrunner has teased it will be far from plain sailing for the young killer.
Speaking on an Instagram live Q&A with fans, Courtney read aloud one fan’s query.
She said: “How will Tariq grieve the death of his father, will he have remorse knowing what he’s done?
“Oh, he’s gonna have a real hard time, he’s gonna have a real, real hard time living with that for sure, absolutely. It’s not like he’s gonna shrug that off,” she answered.
But could this hard time be a result of Ghost returning to his life? Courtney added further fuel to the fire when it comes to Ghost’s fate with another comment.
