The Duchess of Cambridge, 39, laid bare the young Prince’s favourite food while filming a television show with Mary Berry, 86. Pairing up for the BBC baking show: A Berry Royal Christmas, which aired in 2019, Kate Middleton shared culinary facts about her youngest son.
The Duchess said: “We’ve got carrots, beans, beetroot – a massive favourite – Louis absolutely loves beetroot.”
The BBC cooking special, featuring both Prince William and Kate, discussed some of the couple’s charity efforts.
Mary Berry designed and prepared a number of recipes to celebrate different sectors working over the holiday season.
Kate Middleton is a self-proclaimed fan of Ms Berry’s and even owns some of her cookbooks.
She also admitted that one of Prince Louis’s first words was “Mary” which she suspected was because most of their cookbooks are at his eye-level.
Mary Berry went on to cook a special recipe for the young Prince, preparing a decadent chocolate cake with grated beetroot for a special surprise.
She said: “I want Louis to like it because he loves beetroot.”
After taking a bite, she added: “That is what I call a truly indulgent, decadent chocolate cake, and it’s the beetroot that makes it so rich.”
Seemingly following a love for Italian food, Prince George’s favourite food is rumoured to be spaghetti carbonara.
