Prince William 'paid obvious attention to Kate' whenever she was in the room at university

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met while studying at St. Andrew’s University in Scotland between 2001 and 2005. Former classmate Laura Warshauer, who met Prince William in 2001 at the university, explained that the couple “definitely had chemistry”.

She told People magazine: “Whenever Kate was in the room, Will was obviously paying attention to her.

“When we’d be sitting at lunch in the dining hall and the two of them would be talking, it was amazing to see how natural it was, how they had so much to say to each other.

“Looking back, there were all these small moments—certainly moments where I was like, ‘Wow, this could really be something.'”

During their second year at university, Kate and William became roommates and shared a flat with two other friends.

In the engagement interview, William said: “We were both very young, it was at university. We were both finding ourselves as such and being different characters and stuff.

“It was very much trying to find our own way and we were growing up, it was a bit of space and a bit of things like that and it worked out for the better.”

The couple went on to get married in 2011 at Westminster Abbey.

Last month, the Cambridges celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary.

Since their royal wedding, Kate and William have had three children together – Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three.
